About the Congress
​The Congress is a 5 round Swiss (ECF & FIDE rated) tournament in 2 Sections
The Over 1799 Section (27-29 March 2026)
The Under 1800 Section (24-26 April 2026)

Rate of Play
All moves to be completed in 90 minutes plus a 30 second increment after each completed move
All moves must be recorded

Playing Schedule
Round 1: Friday 18:30
Admission to the Playing Area on the Friday evening will be from 18:15
Round 2: Saturday 10:00 Round 3: Saturday 15:00
Round 4: Sunday 10:00 Round 5: Sunday 15:00
Admission to the Playing Area on Saturday & Sunday will be from 9:30

30 Minutes after the above scheduled start times​

Byes
Except for Round 5, players may request one half point bye
Results and Pairings
Pairings will be effected using FIDE approved program
Results will be published on the appropriate chess websites

The current FIDE Laws of Chess will apply
