Allocation of Ratings

The ECF February 2026 rating will be used for Over 1799 section, and ECF March 2026 ratings will be used for the Under 1800 section. (FIDE rating will be used if players don't have ECF rating).

Players without a current FIDE or ECF rating must give details of estimated playing strength (e.g. evidence of recent results), including any previously held rating, or current rating from another body.

Ungraded or unrated players may not win a grading/rating prize and, apart from the Over 1799 section, may only win a third of any other prize.
